Drive-In Graduation Saved the Day

A drive-in graduation was unexpected but a grand celebration for the Class of 2020!

Talk about a commencement no one will ever forget. The Class of 2020 got to walk across the stage, get their diplomas, and even had their class sponsor move the tassel to signify that they had now been graduated – all with social distancing in mind. This year’s graduation took place, not in the Arsht Center, but in the parking lot of Barry University. Despite being, as class President Bugsy G said, like “looking out at a Range Rover dealership lot,” it came off without a hitch in festive and celebratory mode, thanks to the efforts of Upper School Director Jill Robert and a team of others who wanted to make sure that this class was feted in style.

Ms. Davis brought the drone out and this video is her tribute to the class.
