In the 20 years that Miami Country Day has held its annual Walk the Walk for Cancer, over $850,000 has been raised for the Heidi Hewes Chapter of the Sylvester Center for Comprehensive Cancer Research. But this annual event is much more than a fundraiser and a 5K walk through Miami Shores; it is clearly a day of fun, when a large part of our whole community, past and present, comes together in friendship, with rides, great food, and music by our very own rock band, 21 Hearts, 1 Beat (otherwise known as “CME”).
