THE SPARTACUS WILL HAVE YOUR HOMECOMING NEWS ALL WEEK RIGHT HERE!

Next week is everyone’s favorite competition and opportunity to show off in their various traits. Here we are to give you the low down on what’s coming up next week and what you won’t want to miss. Banners are due 8:00 Monday morning. This event has unlimited participation and members from each grade will create a banner celebrating there theme and these will be on display during the whole week for y’all to see. Later that day at lunch, we have the beloved Punt/Pass/Kick.

Punt/Pass/Kick comprises teams of three from each grade. As the name says, they will punt, pass or kick and their score will be determined by combining all the yards. Whichever team has the highest amount of yards gets 1st place and so forth.

On Tuesday we have two of the most riveting events: one all time favorite, the other a newbie which is sure to become a new classic. Academic Bowl takes place in the gym during Multipurpose Block and Break at 9:20-10:20am. . In this battle of wits, 4 members from each grade (two boys, two girls) will demonstrate their thorough knowledge that they’ve learned from Miami Country Day School on the big stage. With topics ranging from U.S History to Calculus, it’s always fun to watch these geniuses strut their stuff and occasionally steal another team’s answer if they can’t get it.  The other is called Poison River and it’s at 1:20- 2:00.
