At precisely 7:40am this morning, Board President Chris Bellows took the stage in the CFA to announce the selection of the 7th Head of School in our 80 year history. Ladies and Gentlemen…drumroll please… Mariandl Hufford has been named Miami Country Day’s new Head of School.

Bellows described the long and thoughtful process that led to the decision telling a rapt audience of faculty and staff that the board was “proud to announce their unanimous choice” of Mrs. Hufford. She will join us with numerous accolades to her name, including dual masters degrees from both University of Pennsylvania and Harvard and a widely international background, beginning with her upbringing in Surinam. Board members, administrators and students alike expressed that Hufford was a strong candidate for our Spartan community.
