Nine Things You Learn Your Freshman Year
Freshman year is a year of adaptation and realization. You have to adjust to high school life while realizing that every move you make counts towards your future. Luckily, freshman come out of 9th grade wiser, and to help the transition go smoothly, they can pass what they learned to the upcoming high schoolers.
So, here are 9 things the freshman class learned this year:
- If you really want to achieve something you have the power to do it, the control is in your hands.
- If it makes you tired because of the effort and long hours you’ve put into it, it’s worth it.
- Procrastination will only lead to more stress and less quality work. It will be hard to start early, but later, you’ll be happy you did.
- Success isn’t achieved through luck, but through devotion and tenacity.
- Take advantage of your free time at school such as breaks and multipurpose blocks.
- If you don’t understand something, don’t be afraid to ask multiple questions and go to extra helps.
- The key to balancing school and sports is to find a quiet place on campus and to utilize the time before and after the practice or game.
- During the weekend, try to get all of your work already assigned done because teachers tend to pile on to the work already given during the week.
- Your motivation will fluctuate, so create a list of goals at the beginning of the year and never lose sight of them.
