Red Nose Day
Red Nose Day is a global effort to help children in need around the world by wearing red plastic noses.
Sasha Jenkins-St. Prix, the founder of the club at MCDS said, “Our goal was to create a week of laughter and fun in which we raise money for children and young adults in Africa to have a better education and life overall. I hoped that the students at Miami Country Day would find it in their hearts to donate to such a worthy cause as this and I am really excited at the money we have raised in such a short amount of time. I hope to make this a long lasting project at Miami Country Day.”
In MCDS alone, students and teachers were able to raise 500$. You may have seen teachers around the campus today wearing these noses. If you missed out, you can still see teachers celebrating this special day in the slideshow above.
