Spartans Snatch Victory At Homecoming Game

Spartan teammates offer support during this year’s homecoming face off with Highland Christian.

In a stunning 41-0 game, the Spartan football team beat Highlands Christian in tonight’s homecoming football match. Anticipation was high in the air as many Spartans young and old flooded the bleachers to watch one of the last games of the season. Many students rushed to earn their grade homecoming points by checking in with Ms. Kelly, while others preferred to socialize and talk to visiting alums like BJ Testler. Commentary was provided by the Spartacus’s own Dwight Spencer, and music by Mr. Wicker’s Jazz Ensemble, creating a festive air. Perhaps the most bittersweet moment of the night happened at the end of the game, when the football team presented recently injured senior and team captain Sam Cohen ’16 with a signed jersey.
