Little Girls, Big Win!
The Miami Country Day swim team competed in the District Championship this afternoon. After five hours of competition, the boys varsity team came in fourth place and the girls varsity team (with only seven girls) placed runner-up for the second year in a row. Key wins took place when Madisyn Jones (JR) placed first in the 100 free-style and second in the 50 free-style; Emma Rodriguez (JR) came second in the 100 breaststroke event; Alexis Goya (SO) came second in the 100 butterfly and Alessandro Machesani (SO) placed second in breaststroke; All relays boosted the teams overall score, thus placing the team second and fourth in the entire meet.
